April 23, flowers, flowers and little dresses

Spring has come into full swing here in the south. That’s means weeds ,and more weeds besides the mulching that needs to be done! I also forget from one spring to the next how achy muscles get after a winter. I also forget that I’m going to keep up with workouts so I don’t get sore….

Earlier in a post I posted a picture of a dormant flowerbed..

This was my flowerbed bed this morning.

Here are some flowers close up. The Amaryllises did really good this year.

Can you see that I still have some work that’s needs done?

  Iris

This little fella seemed to enjoy watching what going on in the flowerbed.

I did get the rest of my blocks done on the nosegay blocks. I also got a little dress made for a friend . These little dresses are so fun to make.

Back to work… Have a great day! Deb

April,11th. Fire Island Hosta Queen quilt top is finished

I am really tickled with the way it turned out! Now I need to start thinking how I’m going to hand quilt it. It is a large quilt 100″ by 100″. So it will take me awhile to do this one.

Sorry about the work truck in the way of the quilt, but hubby is at some business meetings and I was trying to do this by myself. I’ll have him help me take some better ones later. But at least you can get a peek.😊

Now I need to go back to the scrappy nosegay top, I have only 5 more to go. Here’s a few blocks laid out.

I’ve been working in the flowerbeds ,weeds have a way of growing way to fast.Wow, I found out that I have some muscles that didn’t like being used again!

 Edit

The little lizards are back. With temperatures in the upper 80’s.all little critters are showing themselves.

The only thing with the temps being so warm the azaleas are not going to make a splash like they do some years.

My daughter, who is a fan of this little fella, sent this to me. 😄

Have a lovely day! Deb
