The family had a great time together, lots of laughter, food, even naps were included, and play. 🙂
Several of us did something new to us. My daughter got a cardstacker set. I had never heard of it before. If you want to see some amazing cardstacking , check out the fellows website at http://www.cardstacker.com.
Here is how you start…
Takes a bit to get the cards to go right ,my cards fell many times….even a little breathe of frustration would send your cards over.
My first stack building was a little wobbly. 😄
Would you believe I won the cardstacking contest? 🙂 maybe slow and steady isn’t so bad after all. 😀
But if you compare this stacked building to what I did…. I still have much to learn!!
If you looking for something different that’s going to give you a challenge try cardstacking. It’s rather fun.

That looks like fun, I haven’t seen anything like that here in the UK, I will have to have a look. Glad your day went well and I had a lovely present from my America niece, she sent me a small quilt that fits on to a tray, very pretty 🙂

I can see how this would be addicting–you could just keep building and building! But all you would need is one mischievous cat, or small child, to wreak havoc! I’m glad you such a mellow and satisfying day, Deb!

So true that it isn’t something to do when there’s lots of action, or for those who have shaky hands … son found that out.

We played Dominoes with Grandpa. He plays every Friday with his high school friends. We all enjoy sitting around the table together. This would be a nice challenge for the youth and young at heart!

Such a good time to take on a project like this. Some year I’ll persuade my family to let me read Dickens’s “A Christmas Carol” aloud. Maybe taking turns.

What a great multi-age activity! I will have to try it with my boys – if they can be still enough to do it. Your construction is impressive!

Card stacking looks like a really fun family activity – and perfect for a Christmas gathering. I’ve got to remember this for next year. Happy New Year!

Oh my gosh. I have never seen that somebody can build a card house. Congratulations! If You do not mind, please, I give here link to my old post in which old war veteran has made church models from matches:
