Jan.7.. hand quilt along

I have so enjoyed seeing what everyone has been doing, makes my eyes so happy!

My update on my three projects. The one that got the most attention is the Fire Island hosta

Three weeks ago …

I was working from the bottom of photo to the top quilting the black and red points and the white piece right above it. Now I just have to finish the border and the rest of the red and white point piece.

Maybe by next update I will be able to say finished!šŸ¤ž

Now the double wedding ring… last update here

Two rings done… today’s update

Over quarter of the way done. I’m founding out why I may have put this top in the bottom of the bag for so long I forgot I started it..the navy fabric wrinkles awful, and it is rather hard to quilt.

The back

And the Cathedral windows …. last here

Now here…

Thanks for dropping by!šŸ˜€

They are all looking good, but my favourite is the Cathedral windows, will it would have to be šŸ™‚ but also it is very dainty looking, although looks a little complicated to me šŸ™‚

Very exciting! We are about ready to start our list of what we need to grow this year, though it will be another 4-6 weeks before we even start the seedlings. It is always an exciting time!

Mercy!! I can’t imagine hand quilting one quilt and here you have two on the go!! They are beautiful and I’m looking forward to seeing your progress with them in three weeks! Love your cathedral windows – that’s my HQAL but on flying geese.

Thanks for dropping by to visit! I like to have two going ..one for when I’m in the recliner enjoying family , the other one in the frame, that holds larger quilts,to just be by myself to listen to a audio book .

Your stitches look wonderful – tiny and even! Do you have trouble working on a big frame? I tried one, some years ago, and had so much trouble stitching. I need to move the hoop around to get good stitches. I love the look of a big frame though – it frames the quilt for everyone to see.

Thank you! No ,I don’t have troubles working on a big frame, but then I can quilt with my left and right hands so if one hand can’t do it the other can.

Jeez, Deb–you make the rest of us look like slackers! You’re doing so much and it all looks marvelous. I love seeing the back of a hand quilted piece–then you can really see the difference the quilting makes. What’s the long-term plan for the cathedral windows–a bed-size quilt?

It has been cooler here so I’m putting that cold to go use. The Cathedral window will probably be a throw or just for display as there are only so many little scrap blocks.

Progress on THREE hand projects – lots of progress – and that’s amazing! What’s even more amazing is that I like them all. Thanks for showing the back, it’s easier to see the pattern.

I’m in awe of your skill, and of how you work on several quilting projects at the same time. When I do needlework I always think that I need to get one thing finished before I start on the next (but maybe working on several projects would keep me motivated).
