I haven’t said much of hubby’s work, but they ( hubby and son) made and set a gate up for a customer that is simply beautiful!
This is a picture of the gate right after the welding together was finished.
This is the gate being set in …..
The finished gate and side fencing. I’m proud of them , it is beautiful!
All of the boys enjoy welding but Mike the third son has a very steady hand and does the fine welding beautifully.
Then while cleaning the sewing closet because of a stinking mouse…. I found it in my roll of batting ,needless to say it was gross. I cut a nice size of it off, washed it on hand wash in the washer and hung on the wash line. It smells good again ,but I will need to use it in a rag quilt for some of it is a little messed up.
One nice evening we took a little family boat ride. It was a gorgeous evening.
Then to chase away a stomach bug blues away ,I worked on learning how to color flowers with pencil. I like to find a good book on pencil color painting.
And a few miscellaneous photos…
Have a good week, friends, Deb
That gate is beautiful! My BIL just retired from boilermaking and is trying to establish a specialty craft welding business, he would find this inspiring! Your drawing is coming along, the color shading on the yellow iris is especially well done. Your lake sunsets are really pretty, you’ve captured some neat things with your photography!

I’m not sure what all he is doing…it may be more on the forge side of things, but I know he and my sis are doing a bunch of craft fairs this season. That gate is really something!

You take gorgeous pictures! It’s subject matter, yes, but it’s also a talent for framing things just right and that’s all you. The gate is beautiful! What a wonderful talent. It makes me wish I had some place I needed a gate!

The gate is magnificent! I like watching welding but it makes me a little nervous to see those sparks fly. The boat trip looks great–and my favorite photo is also the one of the wake! No boat trips around here–ice is starting to form on our bay.

Yes, those sparks if they land on you ,do burn. I saw on the weather that the north is rather cold right now. Keep warm!

It’s going to get a lot colder soon–by this time next week, we’ll be seeing highs temps in the teens. Brrrrrr!

They are rather splendid gates. I too like the wake behind a boat, there is just something so mesmerising about them. Like the photo of the bridge, and enjoyed them all 🙂

Your husband’s work is beautiful, and so are your photos. But don’t get me started on mice. I couldn’t use my oven for two months because mice got into the lining!

Thank you! Are mice so nasty!😖 I had that happen to my dryer.
