We stayed at this campground during our time of our son’s wedding. I found it had some interesting things to share!
First if you love canoeing or Kayaking then you might want to put this place on your map. I was so bummed that we didn’t take our kayaks. I didn’t think we would have time,And the river would have been so fun to kayak. It had a wonderful current..
It isn’t a place for small children as there isn’t much for them to do.
The first interesting find was this little shed.
I thought it was a neat little shed so I walked over to see and was pleasantly surprised when I saw this …
Yep .. a witch and her stories… oh it was so fun reading these boards.
If you wish to read more on the Bell witch go here ..Bell Witch Wikipedia.
A few more photo of the place…
I love this picture of my tired crew on the way home from Kentucky.
Spooky, I had a look on google and even more spooky when you look at the images lol. But it looks an interesting place to stay with the river. Two very sleepy girls, so cute 🙂

Those stories make me wonder how much of it is imagination, although I do know there are powers out there that cause phenomenal actions, I also believe imagination plays the biggest part of what one really saw or what they thought they saw.🙂makes a good story though..lol. We did have a nice stay.

Yes it is interesting in what causes them, but as you say, they do make good stories 🙂

What a lot of extra interest you got from that campground! The old wagon train stop is especially neat–can you even imagine what life must’ve been like in a wagon train?? That’s a sweet photo of your sleepy family!

I can imagine it a little… hot ,sweaty, and dusty at times then cold ,smoky and muddy…. with no hot shower at the end of the day… and no hot shower would be the killer for me!!!

My college girls and dog and dog still look like that when we drive! So many interesting corners of our world out there! We once traced a small piece of the Oregon Trail. It was daunting to say the least, thinking of how determined those pioneers were!

I can only imagine a little being on a trail for months on end …the Oregon trail would have been rough but the trail of tears is so heartbreaking as they were forced to leave on that long trail!!!!!

Absolutely, the name is so evocative of what they must have help. Makes me sad just saying it!

What a warm-hearted post. I loved Your photos, which told stories. When seeing the tittle of Your post, I immediately though that is the famous Red River about which I have read when reading stories telling about Wild West. Thank You for this enjoyable post.

Hope I didn’t disappoint you to much that the Re river wasn’t in the west! This river is on the border of Tennessee and Kentucky. Nice to read you enjoyed your visit!
