With all the other sewing that was being done, I haven’t been able to work on this top very hard. I did how ever take a few minutes each day to do a few stitches on it.
I have 77 of these done and 57 more to do, have two complete rows done with seven more to go.
There are many little stripes of scraps that I can’t use in the double wedding ring , I made a log cabin block that took 1 1/2 inch strips . I really like the block.
Did a few more blocks… I think a log cabin is also going to be made out of these old scraps.
There was a gorgeous sunset this evening ….
and of course , I need to add a few more flowers.
Oh yes.. I need to share what I found in my washing machine that made me take a second look…
It fell out of my son’s jean pocket when washing. He had been fishing.
Have a great week ,
Deb

Your quilting impresses me. It takes me a year to make one lap quilt.

Thank you! One lap quilt is lots better than no quilt, besides you take nice photos of little bunnies and hummingbirds that takes time .

The double wedding ring is progressing very nicely, those spare moments do add up over time, and you will be so much further along when the wedding is over. The log cabin blocks are the perfect way to use up those little scraps. Did you scream when the salamander showed up? What a shock! I appreciate you sharing your flowers, as mine have been pretty sparse this summer. The irises have definitely made it clear they are too crowded!

It is amazing how just twenty minutes of a little quilt sewing adds up. Lol,no I didn’t scream…with an older brother then having four boys ,they have done a good job of steeling my nerves. Glad you enjoyed the flowers! Sounds like you have a fall job waiting on you.

For us, it will be mid July, they have to firmly rooted before first frost in September. Crazy how our latitudes make things so different!

It will take a bit of time for me to get it all done for the hand quilting will take me a while. I will be busy for the next 2 weeks so I’ll have to wait until I do the Liebster award. 😊 Thanks for the visit!!

I almost jumped out of my skin at that . . . thing in your washer! Your two quilts look amazing. The double wedding ring is going to be the best quilt ever–you have such a good eye for putting the scraps together and the craftsmanship is amazing. And I’ve always wanted to make a log cabin–you’ve got me thinking about it again!

Lol, the cute little critter … is a fishing lore. Russ had gone night fishing for some large mouth bass ,then forgot to remove the critter from his pocket. Log cabins are fun, one can play with the layout and colors.

Two wonderful scrap projects. Both of them are favorite patterns of mine. I laughed when you said that creature fell out of your son’s pocket. I remember those days!
